In 2024, the Italian Public Broadcaster RAI will celebrate 100 years of Italian Radio since its first radio broadcast took place. With great joy, we will celebrate this important anniversary together with another. The EBU Audio Storytelling Festival, the new face of what was previously known as the International Features Conference, celebrates 50 years in existence.
From 19 to 22 May 2024 we'll listen to selected pieces whilst also have a range of workshops and discuss ideas, relevant content and best practice. And we’ll do this through a selection of carefully curated panels and workshop.
RAI are proud to host the 50th EBU Audio Storytelling Festival in Rome in the historical radio building at Via Asiago 3, in the RAI headquarter of V.le Mazzini 14.
LOCATION
EBU ASF 2024 will take place in the RAI headquarter in v.le Mazzini 14 and we will host you in the beautiful Sala Zavoli, dedicated to one of the most important italian author, journalist and radio documentarist Sergio Zavoli.
We will welcome you for the accreditation process in the historical radio building in via Asiago 10. On Sunday May 19.
ACCOMMODATION
We are truly looking forward to welcoming you in Rome in May. We have contacted a few hotels here and received some discounts from online prices. That being said, please note that Rome is always one of the most favorite tourist destination in the world, and during the same days there will be also the ATP Masters.

GETTING TO ASF 2024
Travel by air: Rome is easily connected to most destinations in Europe and around the world. You should have no difficulty finding a flight to get there.
If you arrive by plane at Leonardo da Vinci Airport (FCO) you have two ways to get to the city: by taxi with a fixed rate of 50€ and 40/50 minutes of trip. By train: direct shuttle to Roma Termini (the city's main train station): 14€ – 32’ or train with intermediate stops (Roma Trastevere, Roma S. Pietro): 8€.
From Ciampino airport to Rome center: taxi fixed rate is 31€. Buses leaving from the square in front of the airport and take you to Termini Station for about 6€.
Travel by train: You can also reach Rome by train that is always, when possible, a great way. Your final destination should be Roma Termini, the main and central railway station in town. From there you can reach your accomodation by bus (outside the station you’ll find the buses hub) and by underground.

Delegates typically include freelancers and those working in audio stories units across all European public broadcasters and beyond. This is the place where the best radio and audio-makers working both inside and outside of Europe have annually gathered for the last half-century
Attendants will be provided with free tea and coffee throughout the event, and you will be hosted at a festival dinner. However, all other food and drink will be at your own cost.
Yes, the social aspect to our Festival is especially important in forming friendships and working relationships. We also have a nice bar, nearby the main location of the Festival which will be our social hub during these days in Rome: Irma Bistrò, viale Carso 10
